Visiting Enjoy Sussex during 2012

The London 2012 Olympic Games will be held in London and across the UK from 27July to 12 August 2012, followed by the Paralympic Games from 29 August to 9 September 2012.

London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay


On Tuesday 17th July 2012, the Olympic Torch Relay will travel through the Enjoy Sussex area visiting the communities of Copthorne, East Grinstead, Crowborough, Lewes and Pevensey as it travels between the overnight stop events at Brighton and Hastings.

Olympic Cycle Road Race - 28th & 29th July 2012

 

The route for the Olympic Cycle Road Race will pass close to Enjoy Sussex at Dorking and Box Hill, making Horsham and the surrounding areas the perfect place to stay whilst spectating this exciting event.

The Road Race is provisionally scheduled to take place on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 July. The men's race will take place on the Saturday and last for approximately six hours, and will be 250km in length with 145 riders. The women's race will take place on the Sunday and last for 3½ hours, and will be 140km in length with 67 riders. View Route Details
